Job Description:

As the Florist Manager at Secret Garden, you will lead the creation and design of our floral products, manage inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership skills and floral expertise will drive our team to achieve sales targets and maintain the highest quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

– Supervise and manage the floristry team, offering training and development opportunities.

– Oversee the design and production of floral arrangements.

– Guarantee customer satisfaction through superior service and high-quality products.

– Manage inventory, order supplies, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

– Implement effective marketing and sales strategies to enhance business growth.

– Uphold the boutique's aesthetic and visual standards.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a florist manager or a similar leadership role in floral design.

– Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.

– A robust creative sense and a keen eye for aesthetic design in floristry.

– Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

– Knowledgeable in inventory and supply chain management within the floral industry.

– Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

– Hourly Rate: $28.39

– Weekly Working Hours: 30 hours

– Vacation: 14 paid vacation days annually

– Vacation Pay: 4% of gross wages, in line with Ontario regulations

Ethnic Food Cook

Location:  336 Elm Street, Sudbury, Ontario, P3C 1V8

Cuisine:  Greek

Job summary:  Responsible for planning and directing food preparation, preparing and cooking individual dishes and foods, ensuring quality of products meets established standards

Job duties:

  • Processing meats for gyros and souvlaki
  • Roasting gyros and souvlaki on a grill
  • Wrapping gyros and souvlaki sandwiches
  • Preparing authentic Greek cuisine dishes and Greek desserts
  • Preparing marinates and sauces
  • Estimating expected food consumption, then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage
  • Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
  • Coordinating and supervising work of kitchen staff
  • Training new kitchen helpers

Job Requirements:

-High school graduated or equivalent

-Minimum two years of work experience in Greek cuisine cooking

-Basic English

-Reliable, flexible and hard-working

-Keen sense of taste and smell

-Excellent hand-eye coordination

-Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and team-building skills

-Ability to remain calm in hectic circumstances

Work Hours:                    

  • 40 hours per week

Salary and Benefits:       

  • $20 – $22 per hour; overtime paid after 44 hours.
  • 5 days paid personal leave or sick leave.
  • Meals provided while on shifts.
  • Free parking available.
