Exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to join an outstanding team and become part of one of the most successful spanish restaurant in Toronto.  We serve great quality fresh food and drink in a welcoming, relaxed environment. We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team. The right candidate will be cooking authentic spanish dishes, tapas, grills and specials all from fresh and imported ingredients.

Job description:

  • Prepare and cook complete spanish meals such as paellas, tapas, gazpachos, gambas, cochinillo asado a la Segoviana and gourmet seafood dishes.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
  • Create new recipes
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Plan main menus
  • May request food and kitchen supplies.

 

Start Date: As soon as possible

Must speak English

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

$28.40 hourly for 37.5 hours per week

Experience: 3-5 years

Education. Certificate or Diploma as a Chef/Cook -specialized in Spanish cuisine preferred

Embroidery machine operator (NOC 94131)

Main duties

  • Repair minor mechanical problems such as broken or defective needles
  • Set up looms or other processing machines
  • Notify supervisors or repairers of mechanical malfunctions.
  • Read loom patterns and prepare loom pattern mechanisms for processing.
  • Verify equipment's efficiency. Investigate machine stoppages.
  • Operate looms to weave yarn or thread into textile fabrics or products.
  • Make adjustments to machinery.
  • Operate large automatic multi-needle machines to embroider or to sew lengths of several layers of material.
  • Patrol machines and check fabrics or products for defects and to verify efficient operation. Set up quilting frames for large, quilted products.
  • Operate cutting machines to trim edges of quilts.

Salary

$17.50/hour

  • Overtime Pay (1.5 times of hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week)
  • Vacation Pay as per Saskatchewan Standards (3 weeks or 5.77% of vacation pay)
