Qualifications:

– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;

– Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience is required;

– 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a hairstylist is required;

– Ontario Hairstylist Licence is required;

– Experience in permanents including Japanese hair straightening and digital permanent is an asset.

 

Job duties:

– Supervise other hair stylists and other staff;

– Apply and provide hair colouring such as bleach, dyes/tints, streaking/highlights and balayage/ombré/sombré;

– Apply or provide hair styling such as permanents including Japanese hair straightening and digital permanent, iron waving/curling, blow drying, hair braiding, hair extensions, twisting, pin curls, roller setting and updo;

– Analyze clients’ hair and scalp condition and provide hair treatment;

– Shampoo clients’ hair and provide head massage;

– Cut, trim and taper hair with scissors and trimmers according to client’s instructions or preferences;

– Consult and suggest hair style/hair colour based on client’s physical features and preferences and determine style;

– Maintain and order supplies as necessary;

– Book appointments and perform receptionist duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;

– Completion of a one- to two-year college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required;

– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience in the food service sector including supervisory experience is required.

 

Job duties:

– Plan, organize and evaluate day-to-day café operations;

– Leading/instructing individuals;

– Determine services and implement operational procedures, including opening/closing and seasonal patio operation;

– Work with the owner to develop and update menu items (breakfast and lunch specials), including seasonal offerings and bakery items according to the restaurant budget;

– Recruit, train and supervise servers, baristas, cooks and bakers according to the operating standards, and hiring and training practices of Summit Cafe Inc.;

– Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance;

– Monitor revenues to determine labour cost;

– Ensure health and safety of employees are properly protected according to the health and safety standards of Summit Cafe Inc.;

– Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies;

– Organize and maintain inventory;

– Address customers’ complaints or concerns;

– Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms;

– Conduct performance reviews;

– Provide customer service.
