Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Painter Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of construction painters and related workers on various projects.

 

JOB REQUIREMENT

 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Post-secondary education, such as a certificate or diploma in construction, painting, or a related field, is an asset.

 

Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in the construction painting industry.

Experience managing a team and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously is an asset.

Hands-on experience with various painting techniques and materials.

 

Language: English

 

Technical Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and work orders.

Familiarity with the tools, equipment, and materials used in construction painting.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.

JOB DUTIES

 

Supervise painting crews and manage painting projects

Coordinate and schedule painting activities

Train team members or arrange for their training

Estimate costs and materials required for painting jobs

Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings related to painting

Requisition or order painting materials, equipment, and supplies

Provide leadership and instruction to painting staff

 

Working Conditions: Candidates should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, and all weather conditions.

RESPONSIBILITES

Tasks

·       Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions

·       Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations

·       Load and unload goods

·       Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

·       Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

·       Perform emergency roadside repairs

·       Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

·       Perform preventive maintenance

·       Receive and relay information to central dispatch

·       Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

·       Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

·       Transport and handle dangerous goods
