Bombay Palace is currently hiring a Food Service Manager to join our team!

Bombay Palace has been Proudly serving from Brampton Location since 1994. Our team has over 40 years of service in hospitality. Bombay Palace is an iconic restaurant and Banquet Hall for the Southeast Asian Community since last few decades, and we exceed our guest’s expectations and provide our guests with the sophistication, charm and impeccable hospitality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Lead and manage the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency, high-quality service, and customer satisfaction.

·        Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures and service standards for food preparation, presentation, and customer service.

·        Oversee front-of-house and back-of-house operations to maintain seamless coordination between kitchen staff and service teams.

·        Evaluate daily operations. Plan and organize daily operations

·        Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

·        Recruit, supervise and train staff.

·        Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance

·        Create and manage staff schedules, delegate duties, and ensure adequate staffing during peak and off-peak hours.

·        Conduct performance reviews

·        Hire, train, coach, and evaluate new and existing staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and provincial labor laws.

·        Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.

·        Establish and maintain strong relationships with food vendors, beverage suppliers, and service contractors, negotiating terms as necessary.

·        Organize and maintain inventory

·        Monitor revenues to determine labour cost

·        Address customers’ complaints or concerns

·        Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

·        Supervision of 5 to 10 people

·        Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, service quality, and profitability.

·        Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

·        Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Atleast 1 year to less than 2 years of work experience in food service sector as a supervisor (or related work experience) is required.

·        Completion of college or other program of 3 months to less than 1 year related to hospitality/food or cookery

·        Must have responsible beverage service certification.

·        Experience in handling Indian Cuisine will be an asset.

·        Ability to work in a team

·        Ability to multi-task.
