We have an opening for Line Cook (63220) at our “Nodo Junction” restaurant (2329848 Ontario Inc.) located at 2885 DUNDAS ST. WEST Toronto, ON M6P 1Y9. A fast-paced environment for a team-oriented person. Responsibilities will include preparing food for dine-in and take out while following all food safety guidelines and product standards.

Job Duties:

·       Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

·       Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs

·       Inspect kitchens and food service areas

·       Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

·       Order supplies and equipment

·       Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·       Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·       Clean kitchen and work areas

·       Manage kitchen operations

·       Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Responsibilities

Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions

Load and unload goods

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

Perform preventive maintenance

Perform emergency roadside repairs

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Receive and relay information to central dispatch

Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
