Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and nurturing Home Child Care Provider to care for a school-aged child in a safe and supportive home environment in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Language Requirement
- English
Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of child care experience
Work Setting
- Employer’s private residence
- Optional live-in accommodation available at no charge (not a condition of employment)
Responsibilities
· Supervise and care for the child.
· Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
· Bathe, dress and feed the child.
· Plan, prepare and serve meals for the child and may perform other housekeeping activities.
· Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents.
· Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
· Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child.
· Travel with family on trips and assist with the child supervision.
· Tend to the emotional well-being of the child.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
