Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Assist tradespersons such as roofers. carpenters, bricklayers, and cement
  • finishers in construction activities
  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
  • Lift roofing materials onto roof using pulleys or ladder.
  • Apply tile, slate, or composition materials to roof.
  • Scrape or pull off old roofing material.
  • Clean work areas and equipment.
  • Set ladders, scaffolds, and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs.
  • Unload materials and tools from work trucks, and unroll roofing as directed.
