Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • Change non-sterile dressings
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship
  • Provide personal care
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team

·       Patient care coordinator

·       Evaluate patient care and progress

·       Interpret medical test results

·       Order medical diagnosis or clinical tests

·       Patient care plan

·       Provide end-of-life counseling and bereavement support to patients and their families

·       Provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborns and young infants

·       Provide primary, full-course, care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-natal period including monitoring the health of mother and baby

·       Advise patients on health care

·       Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health

·       Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures

·       Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories

·       Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases

 

Qualifications

·       Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited program.

·       Current Practicing License, per BCCNM Registry.

·       Strong skills in patient care, medication administration, and case management.
