In-home Caregiver for child

We are a nice family in Scarborough Ontario. We are looking for a responsible caregiver who may have teacher background to provide home childcare and support my children’s daily routines, learning, and well-being. This is a live-out position.

What You’ll Be Doing:

ü Supervise and care for the children at home, ensuring a safe, healthy, and structured environment.

ü Oversee daily activities, including meals, rest periods, and playtime, as per my instructions.

ü Help with child language development in English and Mandarin/Korean

ü Organize educational activities like reading, games, and crafts.

ü Encourage outdoor play and activities to keep the kids active and engaged.

ü Support their social and emotional development, teaching good manners, personal hygiene, and life skills.

ü Guide discipline in a way that aligns with my parenting approach.

ü Keep basic records of daily activities and health updates when needed.

ü Light housekeeping related to the kids, like tidying play areas, laundry, and meal prep.

Who I’m Looking For:

ü Higher education preferred (university, ideally with a degree).

ü Background in education is preferred

ü Has the ability for language development

ü No specific experience required, but must be responsible and proactive.

ü Fun, patient, and energetic—someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids.

ü First Aid is a plus.

Location: Scarborough ON (full-time live-out position)

Hours: 30-40 hours per week, daytime shifts, Saturdays required

Pay: $20 per hour

Tasks

  • Cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing
  • Transport fish and shellfish to work area
  • Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing
  • Weigh fish or shellfish, record weight and pack fish in ice
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Sort fish according to species, weight and destination
  • Clean, sort and pack shellfish
  • Clean and maintain aquaculture enclosures
  • Dig shellfish from shellfish beds
