The pay per hour will be $18.00per hour.

 

This is a permanent full-time position with 35 to 40 hours per week. We will also consider candidates who wish to work part-time only.

 

Some of the duties of the Kitchen Helper are:

·         . Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables

·         Carrying and replace linen

·         Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs

·         Place dishes in storage area

·         Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand

·         Serve customers at counters or buffet tables

·         Stock refrigerators and salad bars

·         Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas

·         Remove kitchen garbage and trash

·         Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

·         Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit

Job Brief:

 

Cedar Pizza is looking for a Pizza cook who is responsible for preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers’ orders, make delicious pizzas based on both traditional and modern recipes. Must have the willingness to work and have a positive and upbeat attitude.

 

Job Duties:

 

·         Prepare pizzas out of our menu and based on custom orders

·         Bake a wide variety of pizza doughs, including thin crust, thick crust and cheese -stuffed

·         Work with the cash register when needed to accept payment and give change

·         Wash and chop toppings like vegetables, using knife or peeling machine

·         Cut, slice and grill meats like chicken, ham, beef, salami etc

·         Monitor food stock, maintain supplies and place order as and when required

·         Assist the other kitchen staff in unloading shipment of foods and supplies that are needed in the kitchen

·         Manage all food order slips and administer all verbal instructions and perform all cooking as per instructions

·         Wash the utensils, cabinets and pizza pans in the kitchen that are used for food preparation

·         Perform preventative and regular maintenance on ovens, grills, stoves and hot plates

·         Responsible for keeping the floor area neat and clean, they need to mop and sweep the floor regularly

 

Other Job Requirements:

 

·         Language: Basic English is a requirement

·         Education: Completion of High School is required

·         Experience: 6 Months of experience in a kitchen/food services environment is preferred, but not mandatory

 

Core skills:

 

·         Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

·         Work under pressure at busy mealtimes

·         Ability to work on a team collaboratively and communicate with other team members in both the front and back of Kitchen

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Ability to follow instructions, learn procedures and follow routine processes
