Job Description:
Position: Hair Stylist
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
Wage: $18.00 to $19.00 CAD per hour
Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent
Benefit: financial benefits – commission
Work Location: 8010 Saba Rd suite 125, Richmond, BC V6Y 4B2
Main duties:
– Analyze hair and scalp condition
– Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
– Shampoo customers’ hair
– Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages
– Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
– Apply hair extensions
– Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
– Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
– Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features and preferences
Perform receptionist duties
Job Requirement:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Hair styling techniques: Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Roller setting
Hair colouring techniques: Dyes/tints
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods
Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Judgement, Reliability, Team player
