Job Description

Carlos Jiang & Associates Co. is seeking a Legal Assistant to support legal and administrative functions within the office. The position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • ·       Assist in preparing and processing the related legal documents
  • ·       Collect, organize, and review client documents for completeness and accuracy
  • ·       Prepare and draft forms, submissions, and supporting letters
  • ·       Coordinate communication between clients, and government authorities
  • ·       Track application progress and maintain accurate case files and records
  • ·       Schedule client appointments and consultations
  • ·       Conduct basic research on legal policies and procedures when required
  • ·       Review and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with requirements
  • ·       Maintain confidentiality of all clients and case information

Employment Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Legal Studies, or a related field required
  • At lease one year of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in English

Work Conditions

  • Work must be completed on-site; remote work is not available

Responsibilities:

Tasks

  • Coordinate the flow of information
  • Interview patients to obtain case histories
  • Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Train staff in procedures and in use of current software
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms
  • Maintain filing system
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
  • Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
  • Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
  • Perform data entry
  • Provide customer service
