Operational Systems Coordinator

Stacklab is a multidisciplinary design studio located in Toronto, Canada servicing the international market. Our core focus is on product innovation that blends design, tech and circular manufacturing. In this vein, we recently launched STACKLAB OBJECTS INC – a scalable online platform that enables design patrons to configure furnishings (and soon, lighting) out of locally sourced remnant materials. The role of the Operational Systems Coordinator is multi-faceted and is led in conjunction with the Operations Manager.

• Job duties:
– Support operational staff on the production and delivery of the business’s core collection and the operational aspects of design
for products in development
– Support the Operations team in efforts to optimize and improve Stacklab’s products and systems
– Identify efficiencies and improvements in the business’s systems of production, transport and installation locally, nationally
and globally
– Control and oversee the company project management software to ensure data is entered correctly and in a timely manner.
– Deliver the highest quality of work in a disciplined and efficient manner and implement process improvements.

• Skill requirements:
 Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
 Strong communication abilities with skilled professionals / trades people / fabricators / dealers / patrons
 Able to work in a fast and constantly changing work environment with strong multitasking abilities.
 Proven experience in scheduling and logistics is required.
 Superior organizational skills with an ability to work collectively within a team.
 Excellent proficiency in Excel and data entry
 Minimum 3 years of previous experience as Shipping or Supply Chain coordinator providing operational support is required.
 Minimum 3 years of combined professional experience in industrial design and manufacturing is desired.
 Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, procurement and/or supply chain is required.
