Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Bake mixed dough and batters
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Train staff
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Operate machinery
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

We are a Cantonese restaurant located in Vancouver. Our restaurant is dedicated to providing our guests with an authentic Cantonese culinary experience that highlights the richness and diversity of the Cantonese foods. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients to create dishes that are both delicious and visually stunning. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and an extensive menu of classic Cantonese dishes and innovative creations, our restaurant is a must-visit destination for food lovers in Vancouver.   Now, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service, team management, accounting, and a deep appreciation and understanding of Cantonese cuisine and culture. As the Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience, and that our team is motivated, productive, and efficient.    Responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, ensuring high-quality food and service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. 
  • Developing and implementing customer service policies and procedures to ensure that all guests have a positive and welcoming experience.  
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, including managing bookkeeping, payroll, and inventory management.  
  • Analyzing financial data and creating reports to track profitability and identify areas for improvement.  
  • Recruiting and training new employees, as well as providing ongoing training and development for existing staff.  
  • Managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing for supplies and equipment.  
  • Planning and executing special events and promotions to attract new customers and retain existing ones. 

  We are looking for a highly qualified Restaurant Manager with the following qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management; an experience in Cantonese cuisine restaurant will be an asset.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse group of customers and employees. 
  • Proven ability to manage financial records, analyze data, and create reports. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of employees effectively. 
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A degree in hospitality management, business, accounting, or a related field is required.
