JOB DUTIES

  • Prepare and cook full meals, individual dishes and specialty foods in Indo-Chinese Hakka style as instructed by chef.
  • Alter meals as necessary to meet the individual needs of customers, including those with particular food allergies.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation as per restaurant standards.
  • Mass production for specialty food items for the central kitchen
  • Manage stock of ingredients and kitchen supplies, place orders when needed
  • Participate in planning new menus and creating new recipes.
  • Maintain organization of the storerooms and refrigerators and ensure that all food products are safely and efficiently stored.
  • Participate in regular inventory checks and ordering of new supplies to ensure food supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Train and supervise staff in meal preparation and cooking.
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards at the restaurant at all times.
  • Determines how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.

 

SKILLS
• Ability to use food preparation equipment, including knives and other sharp objects
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
• Proven experience working as a Cook.
• The ability to follow recipes.
• The ability to work in a team.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Restaurant supervisor

  • Location:  875 Saint David St N  Fergus, ON  N1M 2W3
  • Salary: 17.00 to 19.00 hourlyfor 35 hours per Week Minimum wage is not guaranteed

  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Establish work schedules
