Job Duties

  • Welcome clients
  • Determine the cost of the goods, services, or entrance and use an electronic cash register, another cash register, an optical price scanner, or other equipment to calculate the total amount that must be paid
  • Weigh bulk items and produce
  • Accept and handle payments made with a credit card, debit card, cash, or check.
  • Pack items or put them in bags
  • Provide clients with information
  • Compute the foreign exchange rate
  • At the conclusion of the work shift, tally the payments you received and compare it to
  • the total sales
  • When selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or cigarette goods, make sure the customers are
  • of legal age
  • Possibly replenish shelves and tidy the area around the checkout station

Job Duties: Receive and process customer orders. Portion, assemble, and wrap food or plate it for service to customers and prepare take-out orders; use specialized equipment to prepare hot beverages such as coffee and tea; Serve customers at counters or buffet tables; Maintain stock levels in refrigerators and salad bars; and keep accurate records of food quantities used. Handle transactions and receive payment for food items sold.
