DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Document and prepare invoices and work orders.
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
  • Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
  •  Install all components of roller shades/blinds/shutters.
  • Travel to various client’s locations for installation.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers.
  • Maintain effective methods of contact with clients through smart phone, voicemail, e-mail etc.
  • Receive and return all calls promptly.
  • Maintain a good work habits and arrive at appointments punctually.
  • Works independently to meet deadlines and achieve results.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Receive customer payments.
  • Maintain proper installation paperwork.
  • Clean customer premises of installation debris and dust
  • Help organize Blinds orders and installation materials in the shop.
  • Measure for and install various types of blinds, shades and shutters for residential and commercial projects according to the highest industry standards.
  • Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles pertaining to the installation of window blinds.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, and remain friendly, polite, courteous, and professional at all times.
  • Provide care for customers' property to ensure it remains protected and undamaged.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Atleast Six months of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • No Education requirement.
  • Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over for extended periods of time.
  • Able to use power tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to multi-task.

CARPENTER

ATLANTIC CONSTRUCTION GROUP INC is looking for one position of CARPENTER for their location at 179 Treeline Blvd, Brampton, ON L6P 1E8.

Job Title: CARPENTER

Nature of Employment: Permanent Full-Time Position

Salary: $33.00 per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends

Job duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
  • Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
  • May prepare cost estimates for clients.

Language: English

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate. College Education or apprenticeship training will be an asset.

Experience:  1 Year to less than 2 Years
