PRABHJOT THIND & FAMILY is looking for a Caregiver – Seniors for their elderly mother

Location: 6 Slipstream Crt., Brampton, ON L6P 4L4

Job Title: Live-in Caregiver – Seniors

Permanent Full-Time Position

Work Experience: 1 Year to less than 2 Years

Education: Completion of grade 12, plus CPR or First Aid may be required.

Language of Work: English

Salary: $19.50 per hour for 37.5 hours/ week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work for some weekends.

Duties Include:

  • Supervise and care for seniors in the employer’s Residence
  • Administer bedside and personal care needs
  • Personal hygiene and grooming. Assistance with getting dressed.
  •  Administer bedside and personal care.
  •  Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, and shop for food and household supplies.
  • Accompany elderly for walks and to all activities- weather permitting
  • Make appointments and give reminders, maintain a schedule, and accompany the elderly to all appointments and activities.
  • Provide care and companionship.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Optional Accommodation is available at no charge on a Live-in basis. Note that it is not a condition of the Employment.

Job Responsibility

  • Respond to inquiries via telephone, in person, or electronically, or direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Prepare various documents, including correspondence, reports, statements, forms, presentations, applications, etc.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, both manually and electronically.
  • Photocopy, collate, distribute documents, and manage mailing and filing.
  • Send and receive messages and documents using fax machines or email.
  • Maintain office supply inventory, place orders as needed, and arrange for office equipment servicing.
  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas, attend meetings, and take minutes.
  • Support administrative tasks such as budget submissions, contract administration, and work schedules.
  • May sort, process, and verify receipts, expenditures, forms, and other documents.
  • May oversee workflow for other office support staff.
  • May perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including preparing invoices and bank deposits.
