Construction Site Supervisor

Construction site supervisor responsibilities:

  • Supervise, manage, and arrange the undertakings of construction workers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and inspect work progress to guarantee adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with project managers and clients to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Allocate resources and materials efficiently to avoid delays and maximize productivity. Select skilled personnel for tasks, monitor and promote when needed.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and other regulatory requirements. Train personnel to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of site activities, including work performed, materials used, and labour hours.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure their work aligns with project timelines and specifications, including organizing meetings to discuss schedules, reviewing their progress regularly, and addressing any discrepancies or issues that may affect the overall project.
  • Facilitate communication between different subcontractors to promote collaboration and prevent conflicts.

Environmental Officer

Environmental Officer Responsibilities:

 

  • Assess and review construction plans to ensure environmental considerations are integrated from the outset.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments/surveys to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Advise project managers and site supervisors on best practices for minimizing environmental impact.
  • Perform regular site inspections to identify and address any environmental issues promptly. Collect samples and conduct continuous monitoring of air quality, emissions from machinery, waste disposal practices, and logistics processes.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and local authorities to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented environmental controls and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Document findings and ensure that any identified issues are addressed swiftly and in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, sampling data, and corrective measures taken to ensure ongoing compliance and facilitate reporting requirements.
  • Educate and train construction workers and subcontractors on environmental protection protocols and procedures.
  • Document and report on environmental performance, incidents, and corrective actions to maintain transparency and accountability.
