Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is a full-time, permanent position.

 

Responsibilities:

·             Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals

·             Examine patients’ health condition to identify diseases and injuries

·             Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness

·             Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment

·             Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health

·             Prescribe and administer medications and treatments

·             Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases

·             Advise patients on health care

·             Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues

 

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

·        College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)

·        Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities

Personal Care Attendant – Medical

Assurance Home Care is an in-home care company focusing on high-end services for its client’s needs. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about what they do, understand, and respect the desire for independence while working closely with our clients. Our services include everything from companionship to housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal care and grooming assistance and running errands.

Tasks
  • Supply and empty bed pans
  • Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients
  • Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
  • Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
  • Supervise patients’ exercise routines
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Bathe, dress and groom patients
  • Assist with the set-up and maintenance of traction equipment, cleaning or sterilizing equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, and assembling, setting-up and operating job-related equipment
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • Answer call signals
  • Collect specimens
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas
  • Accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations
