Description

We are a full service, three-star hotel located just off Highway 4 in Meadow Lake. Our facility combines the best accommodations, food and beverage service in Meadow Lake.

 

Specific Skills:

Take customer’s orders

Clean, peel, slice and trim food stuff using manual appliances

Use deep fryers, grill, oven, dispensers and other equipment to prepare food items

Portion, assemble, wrap food or placeit directly on plates for service to patrons and package take-out foods

Use equipment to prepare hot beverages such as coffee and tea specialties

Serve customers

Stock fridges, salad bars and keep record of quantities of foods

May receive payment for food items purchased

Wage:                                      12.50 per hour

Hours:                                     30 to 40 hours per week

Education

Completion of secondary school education is usually required

Job duties:

Purchase foods, beverages for cooking and resale at the retail store
Understand requirements of the store and determine quantity and kinds of foods and beverages to purchase
Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets and maintain adequate stock levels
Contact suppliers and negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements
Research market reports; sale periodicals and sales promotion materials and visit trade showrooms or events
Select the merchandise which best fits the food service requirements
