Job Requirements:
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management;
• Min. 4 years of experience in the food service sector;
 
Job Description:
1.    Develop and manage staff schedules: Create and adjust work schedules based on catering events, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and tasks.
2.    Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff: Hire new staff, conduct onboarding and training programs, and provide ongoing supervision and performance feedback.
3.    Manage employee time and attendance: Track employee hours, ensure adherence to labor regulations, and address any attendance issues.
4.    Coordinate with other departments: Communicate with kitchen staff, sales team, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and event execution.
5.    Develop and implement sales strategies: Identify target markets, create marketing materials, and generate leads to secure catering contracts.
6.    Manage client communication: Respond to inquiries, provide detailed event proposals, and maintain clear communication throughout the planning process.
7.    Manage inventory levels: Track food and beverage supplies, ensure adequate stock for events, and minimize waste.
8.    Place orders and negotiate pricing: Source high-quality ingredients and supplies from vendors, negotiate favorable pricing, and manage supplier relationships.
9.    Control food costs: Implement cost-saving measures, monitor food usage, and analyze expenses to ensure profitability.
10.    Meet labor targets: Work closely with directors to achieve labor cost targets, optimize staffing levels, and manage labor expenses effectively.
11.    Ensure food safety and hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, implement sanitation procedures, and conduct regular inspections.
