Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
  • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

H & M Sran Holding is looking to hire dedicated Dump Truck Drivers responsible for transporting various materials from one site to another.

Job Duties:

  • Operate and drive company’s dump trucks to transport paving materials, construction supplies, dirt or garbage to and from specified locations
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections of the truck and inspect vehicle systems and equipment’s such as, brakes, tires, gas, oil and lights
  • Verify the type of materials being transported and ensure that they do not exceed weight restrictions
  • Load and unload materials using the cranks and levers inside the truck
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management
  • Ensure the accurate recording of cargo information, distance logs, fuel consumption and expenses into logbooks
  • Communicate with company dispatcher to organize routing and delivery schedules
  • If necessary, perform basic emergency roadside repairs

 

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Must have Class 1 from BC or equivalent Driver's License from anywhere or should be able to acquire one
  • Must be able to communicate in basic English
  • Clean driving record
  • No work experience required, on the job training will be provided. Any prior experience operating a dump truck is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance and road safety regulations
