Qualifications:

– Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;

– Completion of secondary (high) school or equivalent experience is required;

– 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience in the food service sector including supervisory experience is required.

 

Job duties:

– Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations;

– Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures;

– Estimate the price of products and services;

– Recruit, train and supervise staff according to the operating standards, and hiring and training practices of Zen Sanuki Udon;

– Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance;

– Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices;

– Ensure health and safety of employees are properly protected according to the health and safety standards of Zen Sanuki Udon;

– Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies;

– Develop, implement and analyze budgets;

– Participate in marketing plans and implementation;

– Address customers’ complaints or concerns;

– Provide customer service or help kitchen operations when necessary;

– Conduct performance reviews;

– Organize and maintain inventory.

Building Cleaning Supervisor (NOC 62024)

We have an opening for a Building Cleaning Supervisor (NOC 62024) with Commercial Cleaning Services at a logistics warehouse located in St. Thomas, ON. CCS, a Black and McDonald company, is a rapidly growing building service contractor with over 250 clients and 1,500 employees across Canada. The role involves managing contracted janitorial services and supervising a team of unionized cleaning staff while ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Post-secondary education in business or a related field
Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience in the janitorial/cleaning industry, preferably in a unionized environment
Licenses: Valid G Class Driver’s Licence
Work Setting: Logistics warehouse / Commercial cleaning services environment

Job Duties:
• Oversee a team of up to 120 unionized janitorial staff, including Site and Shift Supervisors
• Manage service delivery in accordance with contract scope and operational requirements
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed according to established routes, schedules, and procedures
• Inspect facilities to ensure work meets internal and external quality standards and take corrective action when needed
• Process and follow up on client work orders to ensure satisfaction with services provided
• Address and resolve client complaints and concerns, preventing recurrence
• Recommend or arrange additional services such as equipment repairs, replacements, or out-of-scope work
• Supervise staff performance and ensure employees meet operational expectations
• Train cleaning staff on company standards, procedures, and safety practices
• Promote and enforce a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety procedures
• Utilize technology tools to manage inspections, deficiencies, work orders, and supply ordering
• Complete payroll accurately and within deadlines
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace policies, including required postings and communications
• Conduct safety inspections to prevent accidents and identify hazards
• Complete incident and accident reports and identify root causes
• Ensure proper maintenance, handling, and storage of equipment and supplies
