  • Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to his needs.

Job Brief:  

Roots Goods Carrier Ltd is looking for an experienced Truck trailer mechanics to join our team and take on the responsibilities of inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the components and systems of our trucks and trailers used for hauling large goods. 

 

Job Duties: 

  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing truck and trailer bodies, systems and components such as floors, doors and side panels 

  • Performing preventative maintenance measures on trucks and trailers 

  • Inspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts, including tires 

  • Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required 

  • Checking and repairing the brake, electrical and hydraulic systems 

  • Assembling and dissembling vehicle engines and cleaning the fuel tanks  

  • Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues 

  • Using hand tools and various specialized diagnostic equipment to diagnose, isolate and repair faults 

  • Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs, and reporting all findings to management 

  • Advising drivers on work performed, general truck or trailer condition and future work required 

  • Responding as soon as possible to client queries 

 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma required 

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a trailer mechanic 

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems such as hydraulics, air brakes and electrical systems 

  • Extensive experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Manual dexterity, experience with hand tools and physical strength
