This is an on-site role in a fast-paced automotive service environment. The position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor vehicles and related systems while working under supervision and following established safety and quality standards.

Job requirements

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
Work Setting: Automotive repair shop (on-site only; no remote work)

Job Duties:
• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace components
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Inspect motor in operation to diagnose issues
• Diagnose faults using computerized and other testing equipment
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Repair and service truck-trailer systems when required
• Perform scheduled maintenance services on vehicles
• Advise customers on work performed and recommend future repairs
• Communicate findings and repair requirements clearly to supervisors and customers
