We have an opening for Shop supervisor, automotive repair and service (NOC 72020) at our “Mr. Lube (2810408 Ontario Inc.) located 515 Riddell Road suite Unit 6, Orangeville, Ontario L9W 6X2. A fast-paced environment for a team-oriented person.

Job requirements
Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Job Duties:

  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units

Supervision: 5-10 People

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, Work under pressure

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
