Position Overview:

As a Business Consultant at Advanth Business Consulting Inc., you will work closely with clients to provide expert advice on business strategy, market entry, regulatory compliance, and operational improvements both in China and Canada. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their businesses by offering tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy & Planning: Work with clients to develop and implement effective business strategies and growth plans, including market entry for international companies and expansion for domestic/international businesses.
  • Compliance & Licensing: Advise clients on compliance requirements, licenses, and permits needed for their businesses to operate successfully in Canada, China or other laces as needed.
  • Contract & Documents Reviewing: Reviewing regulatory documents, application documents, leasing agreements, employment agreements and other related commercial documents from business perspective and China law perspective, conversation with Canadian lawyers to ensure the contracts are processed and reviewed appropriately.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of business plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering continuous support and guidance throughout their business journey.
  • Cross-Border Consulting: Provide advice to Canadian companies seeking to expanding business into the China market or establishing legal entities (JV/WFOE) in China; provide advice to Chinese companies with international businesses wanting to spread their footprints in Canada.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address client challenges, offering innovative solutions to improve efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field (MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred).
  • over 5 years of experience in international investment in China market, business consulting, advisory services, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and international business practices (legal experience with Chinese markets is a plus).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client projects and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a client-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, business plan development, and market research.
  • Experience working with startups or high-growth companies is an asset.
