A fast-paced environment for a team-oriented person. Responsibilities will include preparing food for in restaurant and take out while following all food safety guidelines and product standards.

Job Duties:
Determine the size of food portions and costs
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Order supplies and equipment
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas

Home/Autism Support Worker (44100)

Job Opportunity: Home Support Worker for Two Children (Ages 13 and 9)

We are looking for a dedicated, caring, and patient home support worker to provide tailored care for our two children. Both children are under Individual Education Plan (IEP) support at school and require similar attention at home due to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Moderate to Profound Intellectual Disability.


Key Responsibilities:

·         Prepare children for school during the school year (6:30 AM to 9:30 AM).

·         Provide after-school care during the school year (2:00 PM to 5:30 PM).

·         Full-day care during school breaks: summer, winter, and spring (8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, including a one-hour lunch break).

·         Assist with mobility and physical support (up to ~45 kg).

·         Monitor nutrition intake and administer allergy-related medication.

·         Organize activities such as games and outings, and instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.

·         Help with schoolwork and provide emotional support.

·         Maintain a safe and nurturing environment in the home.

·         Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

·         Assume full responsibility for the household in parents’ absence.

Requirements:

·         Language: English.

·         Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate (preference for candidates with a nursing or health care support degree or students in these fields).

·         Credentials: Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.

·         Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.

·         Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, reliability, flexibility, and organizational skills.

·         Additional Qualifications: Experience supporting children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.

Work Details:

·         Children’s Ages: 9 and 13 years old.

·         Work Location: Employer’s home (non-smoking, scent-free environment) – V9B 1M9

  • Weekly Hours: Full-time with minimum of 32 hours and maximum of 40 hours

·         Transportation: Willingness to travel; public transportation is available.

·         Compensation: $23.50/hour
