Concrete Finisher (Noc 73100)

PVP Construction Inc. has an opening for Concrete Finisher (Noc 73100) who will join our construction crew and support the team. As a Concrete Finisher (Noc 73100), you will perform all or some of the following duties:

·         Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials

·         Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade

·         Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement

·         Operate power vibrators to compact concrete

·         Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification

·         Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

·         Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures

·         Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces

·         Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces

·         Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures

Education Qualifications: Completion of Secondary school or equivalent experience

Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 40 hours / week)

Employment conditions: Morning, Day, On call, Overtime

On the road job: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Compensation: CAD $40.00 /hour

Manufacturing technician – industrial engineering

Sorsys Technologies Inc., located at 2110 Williams Parkway in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking 2 manufacturing technicians specializing in industrial engineering. This is a permanent full-time position with an hourly wage of $31.50.

Skill Requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Experience:  Minimum 2 years experience in the industrial engineering field

Tasks:

Design plant layouts and production facilities
Conduct work measurement or other studies
Develop computer applications for machines and processes
Collect and compile operational or experimental data
Collect and analyze data and samples
Develop manufacturing and processing procedures
Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, speci􀀁cations and reports
Read blueprints and drawings
