Modinno Dwellings Inc. has an opening for Painter (Noc 73112) who will work with our construction crew and support the team. As a Painter (Noc 73112), you will perform all or some of the following duties:

  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture
  • Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
  • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Knowledge of Brush, Conventional spray, and Roller painting

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Ability to distinguish between colours, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Overtime required

Work Site Environment: Odours, Confined Spaces, Outdoors

Work Setting: Various locations

Education Qualifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 35 hours / week)

Early Childhood Educator

Playtime Childcare Society located at 1223 Smithers Road, Parksville, British Columbia, V9P 2C1 is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator for infancy to 5 years.  We’re seeking full-time and permanent qualified individuals who has a passion for the early year’s education and development of young children. A successful Early Childhood Educator candidate will have a background in the early childhood field and be able to incorporate fun and engaging activities for the children in our programs. We are a growing organization with opportunities for growth and advancement into management roles.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Create, develop and implement a variety of activities using games, storytelling, songs, free play, art, drama to stimulate physical, emotional, cognitive, social and language development of the children of all ages.

Build relationships with children, families and team members and community service organizations or service providers working with children.

Maintain and promote the physical, social and emotional health of children.

Develop and implement activities such as arts and crafts and field trips for children.

Developing and assisting self-help skills for eating, dressing and toilet habits.

Discuss progress or concerns with the family and team members regarding the children’s needs and capabilities observed and provide reports.

May supervise or plan activities of other ECE and ECEA’s.

Create an environment that is safe and ensures the health and well-being of the children.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for the program.

 

Wage

 

$ 21.25 to $21.50 per hour

8 hours a day / 40 per week

Monday to Friday

Accommodation assistance that is not more 30% of the gross wages

Relocation assistance will be provided

Assist with medical coverage, until provincial coverage is approved
