ResponsibilitiesTasks

  • Supervise, coordinate, and assign tasks to farm workers in our farm.
  • Train farm workers to utilize farming tools.
  • Train farm workers to identify diseases on leaves, trunks, or cordons.
  • Coordinate with the farm owner to ensure supplies and equipment are available to complete the different tasks.
  • Install irrigation and decide when to start irrigation based on the soil and weather conditions.
  • Inspect the buds, number of buds in each shoot, train workers to identify which shoots to trim, where to trim, count buds on each shoot, train the cordons along the training wire to ensure quality of crop.
  • Train the workers to identify the fruit to pick, and how to pick them.
  • Will ensure that irrigation, pest control, and weeding are continuous.
  • Will weigh the harvested fruit every day and instruct how to sort and store it properly.
  • Prepare a report of fruit harvested.
  • Ensure farm safety, food safety and security and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintenance of tools and equipment will take place.
  • Repair or replacement of steel poles or cables will take place
  • Perform general farm duties if needed
