Retail Sales Associate

Job Duties:

Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise sought for purchase
Advise customers on use and care of merchandise, and provide advice concerning specialized products or services
Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, trade-in allowances, returns and delivery dates
Prepare merchandise for purchase
Prepare sales contracts and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
Assist in display of merchandise
Maintain sales records for inventory control
Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers or for shipment or delivery to customers
Carry customers’ purchases to parking lot and pack in vehicles
Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items
Use barcode scanning equipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintain computerized stock inventory
Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list
Attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting
Stock shelves and display areas and keep stock clean and in order
Fill mail orders from warehouse stock
Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
Direct customers to location of articles sought
Sweep aisles, dust display racks and perform other general cleaning duties
Operate cash register and computer for electronic commerce transactions
May order stock.

Skill Requirements: High school Diploma; 1 to 2 years of related work experience

Job Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)

Salary: $15.20 per hour

Warehouse Supervisor

Description:

• Demonstrate a great level of reliability and accountability. You are expected to be on time and ensure the necessary number of warehouse employees are also on time during their shifts.
• Communicate with warehouse employees in order to understand their needs, provide training and feedback in order to achieve goals and safety requirements.
• Supervise the work of the warehouse team (6 employees).
• Participate in the development of project plans for the configuration of the distribution centers, the space management, and the improvement of efficiency and customer service.
• Perform the steps of the plan to achieve the defined projects. Deal with workplace-related issues, ensure smooth transition of shifts.
• Support the Transportation Supervisor for the logistics of the ins and outs of the Ontario region.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies and materials, ensure all necessary supplies and tools are available to all employees.
• Offer support on an in-house system called Trend and eventually WMS TWL for employees of the distribution center.
• Be available to travel for meetings, trainings and support the team in Montréal, Québec or local branches. Deliver presentations and reports to the executive team.
• Maintain a high standard of performance at all levels of activities related to the logistics of the distribution network for Ontario.
• Address operating performance (errors, efficiency) with the distribution center team.
• Implement best practices defined by the head office logistics team. Ensure that they are correctly followed. Optimize processes to ensure improved efficiency.
• Actively participate in the implementation of the WMS.
• Ensure that health and safety rules are followed.
• Achieve key performance objectives and drive change in our facilities.
• Demonstrate success in a leadership capacity and superior interpersonal and communication skills are coupled with experience in a continuous flow operation in a unionized environment.
