Salary: CAD 35.00 / hourly

Location: Varies in Lower Mainland

Shift: 40 Hours /weekly

Main Duties:

  • Prepare and lay bricks, stone, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and similar materials to repair walls, foundations, and other structures in residential, industrial, and commercial construction,
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units,
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools,
  • Restore, clean or paint existing brick structures,
  • Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials,
  • Lay bricks to provide veneer facing,
  • May restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures,
  • Remove and replace existing masonry work for alterations or restorations,

 

Qualifications & skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience is required,
  • Completion of secondary school is required.

Carpenter / NOC 7271

Nordic Shore Construction Inc. is seeking carpenters who are willing to be team members and conduct all duties related to this position.

 

Job title: Carpenter

Job Type: Permanent full-time

Salary: CAD 29.00 / hourly

Location: Varies in Lower Mainland

Number of vacancies: 2

Shift: 35 Hours /weekly

Mani duties:

  • Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work,
  • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures,
  • Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations,
  • Measure, and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge,
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment,
  • Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue,
  • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools,
  • install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems,
  • Liaise with clients by providing cost estimations.

 

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • 1-2 years of work experience is required.
