Job Requirements

Language: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work setting: Various locations

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture
  • Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
  • Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces

Experience and specialization:

  • Equipment and machinery experience: Brush painting, Conventional spray painting, Roller painting
  • Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching
  • Wood finishing specialization: Staining
  • Wall covering specialization: Wallpaper

Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colours, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Physically demanding

Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

A Leading lebanese Restaurant in Ottawa Region, is looking to cover to empty positions for a chef for its location on 919 Industrial Avenue, to work on a full-time, non-seasonal, /2/ TWO years' contract.

Job Description:

  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs.
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Recruit and hire staff.
  • May prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.

Salary: $21/h for 40hours per week.

Experience is an asset.

Requirements:

Basic Oral English or French.

Highschool or equivalent Experience.
