Domestic Housekeeper (NOC 65310)

A private residence in southern Mississauga requires a live-in domestic housekeeper to manage a home that is occupied by two adults. The fully detached home comprises a main floor, finished basement and a loft. There are approximately six thousand square feet of furnished rooms, including five bathrooms, laundry facilities and a small in-home gymnasium. There is also a large outdoor patio at the rear of the property.

The successful applicant will have some secondary school education and must be able to handle various tasks independently and follow rules and procedures established by the employer. This is a position that requires time management skills, dependability, use of initiative a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and at least one year of work experience in a similar position. The ability to communicate effectively in English is also required.

Responsibilities

The Domestic Housekeeper will be responsible for running the household chores and tasks on a daily basis and specialized activities on certain designated days. This position entails performing general house cleaning duties, laundry and ironing, and shopping for groceries and household supplies. Some cooking or meal and snack preparation may be required.

Job Duties

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks throughout rooms in the home;
  • Make beds; change linens; set dining tables; clear dining tables;
  • Wash dishes, pack away dishes;
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and laundry appliances, bathrooms, in-home gym;
  • Polish wooden and ceramic/marble floors, mirrors, glass, counters in kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms;
  • Dust and polish furniture, clean outdoor furniture, when required;
  • Launder clothing and household linens; iron, fold and pack away in closets and cupboards;
  • Vacuum floors, rugs, carpets upholstered furniture;
  • Sweep and wash or mop floors; wash patio as required;
  • Empty garbage, kitchen and recycle receptacles; remove to the curb on pick-up days;
  • Assist employer in shopping for groceries and household supplies;
  • unpack and store purchased supplies in freezers, refrigerators, cupboards and shelves;
  • Assist employer to cook meals and prepare snacks;
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by employer.

Qualifications

  • Some Secondary school education;
  • Experience in managing a private household;
  • Physically capable of extended activities within work hours;
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Skills

  • Must be dependable; able to work independently and use initiative;
  • Must have strong ethics, good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills;
  • Be able to speak, read, write and understand English;
  • Be organized and capable of following directions from employer

This is a permanent full-time position located in Southern Mississauga. Employer will train and supervise.

Hourly wage is $18.50
Full time: 35-40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Saturday
Time: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Auto body technician

Cars Auto Collision is looking for a professional Auto body Technician who can join our team. The ideal candidate will perform some of the following tasks:

  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Clean and maintain work space
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
  • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Repair or replace interior components
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
