Job Title: Truck Washer

Job Location: Abbotsford, BC

Wage: $20 – $21 per hour for 30-40 hours per week

Roots Goods Carrier Ltd is looking for prospective employees to fill a truck washer position. Candidates must be quick learners, able to work individually and in a team, and mentally and physically ready to work outside and perform various tasks.

 

Job duties include:

• Washing of various pieces of heavy equipment, parts, and support vehicles using materials such as cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, hoses, water and semi automated machines
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicle using hand, brush and washing equipment, polishing and drying the vehicle windows and windshields
• Ensure proper treatment and maintenance of wash wands, bays and equipment
• Perform general housekeeping to ensure the wash bay is clean and organized
• Operate vehicles to and from the wash bay area
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and follow appropriate procedures
• Other labouring duties as directed to assist in the fulfillment of full service to the client

 

Job skills:

• Previous wash bay, steam, mobile and truck washing experience is an asset but not necessary
• In-depth knowledge of a range of washing techniques
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to learn new tasks quickly

Job Title: Drywall and Acoustical Installer Helper

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Pay: $23.00/Hr for 40 hrs/week

Job Summary:

P&K Construction Services is looking for drywall installer helpers to join its team to work all over the lower mainland & Vancouver area and responsible for stocking residential and commercial building with drywall, metal framing, insulation, and ceiling.

 

Job Duties:

• Accurately distribute and place all specified building materials as indicated 

• Examines and records all material transported to and /or from the delivery site

• Verifies and records the quantity and type of materials being handled

• Cleaning up debris keeping the site clean and properly disposing of debris before leaving the site

• Properly stocking of drywall while maintaining safe and secure environment 

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently 

 

Requirements:

Language: Basic English is a requirement

Education: None

Experience: Proven experience as a drywall installer helper will be an asset

 

Qualifications include:

• Knowledge in applicable building materials products is preferred

• Ability to load, unload and stock building materials as required

• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend and twist throughout complete shift

• Ability to consistently lift and carry 115 lbs with assistance

• Ability to follow all safe methods of transporting drywall to suitable places
