As a Carpenter (NOC 72310 Carpenter-Framer), you will perform all or some of the following duties:

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Survey building locations and levels
• Supervise other workers
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Education Qualifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work experience:2 year to less than 3 years

Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 40 hours / week)
Employment: Morning, Day
Compensation: CAD $30.00 /hour
Work site environment: Noisy, Dusty, Non-smoking
Work setting: Various locations
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
Location: Amethyst Crescent, Dartmouth, NS B2V 2W5 ( Depends upon the project site)
