Clivia Products of Canada Inc.  is hiring a Store Manager – Retail.

 

Company Information

Clivia Products of Canada Inc. is a retail store selling professional beauty and hairstyling products which are imported from Italy and not available in Ontario.  We sell a large variety of quality hair colour, shampoos, conditioners and styling products.  We also sell a variety of personal hygiene items.  Our products are sold to customers at the retail store and to beauty salons in the area.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in retail store, preferably hair and beauty
  • Possess a passion for the beauty industry with the desire to constantly learn and then teach our store personnel and customers about our products
  • Display strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and act effectively within a team and independently
  • Must have strong attention to detail skills
  • Having strong Italian language ability is an asset as majority of the inventory is imported from Italy and some vendors cannot communicate in English
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs,
  • Must have experience performing the duties listed below
  • Computer / Technology knowledge
    • Point of Sales System
    • ‘Smart Vendor’ is our database / inventory control software
    • Quick Books
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Electronic Mail

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Planning and Managing the operations of the company
  • Managing the finances of the business including the budgets and expenditures
  • Planning budges and monitoring sales (revenue)
  • Establishing company policies and procedures
  • Marketing the business and identifying trends and potential markets for our products
  • Managing sales operations and setting sales goals for the company
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly revenue
  • Developing specific plans to ensure revenue growth of the company
  • Negotiating contracts with customers (eg. Salons)
  • Keeping abreast of new products offered in Italy that would be imported and sold in Canada
  • Ordering and managing the merchandise / inventory that is imported from Italy
  • Determining prices for products which are sold
  • Hiring and training employees
  • Managing employees to ensure they are performing their assigned duties
  • Formulating and implementing the strategic plan for the business
  • Evaluating the success of the organization
  • Responsible for customer service / customer relations in order to improve relations to ensure customer satisfaction.  Responding to customer requests and issues.
  • Constant communication with customers to determine products they would like to see offered in our store           

 Terms, Wages & Work Hours:

  • Permanent full-time employment
  • $42.00 hourly for 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday with weekend availability

Restaurant Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the General Manager in planning, organizing and evaluating restaurant staff and operations.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees. Create and/or update policies pertaining to inventory/logistics, staff scheduling, staff appearance, cleanliness, food quality and customer service.
  • Ensure staff works together as a team to ensure optimum service and that customers’ needs are met.
  • Inspect grooming and attire of staff, and rectify any deficiencies.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Inspect storage areas for organization, and cleanliness.
  • Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
  • Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team to reach common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or an entire work shift.
