Lead Cashier Job Description

Responsibilities:
– Oversee cashiers and ensure smooth operations at the checkout counter
– Train new cashiers on proper cash handling procedures and customer service skills
– Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
– Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing returns and exchanges
– Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
– Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
– Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash drawers and preparing deposits
– Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers
