Job duties and qualification include:
- A certificate or degree in winemaking from an accredited academic institution
- 2 years to less than 3 years working experience in other winery environments (full time cellar work with experience operating pumps, presses, filters)
- Strong mechanical skills in relation to winery equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, work on and around ladders, catwalks, uneven flooring, in hot, cold, and wet environments with typical winery chemical exposure and conditions
- Ability to work in a changing environment
- Ability to solve technical/processing problems as they arise
- Experience with both the practical and technical aspects of the winemaking process
- Experience with both the practical and technical aspects of the winemaking process
- Experience with South America grapes and juices is required
- Some experience in micro vinification and vinegar bleeding
- Ability to supervise when needed
