Mani duties:
- Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work,
- Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures,
- Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations,
- Measure, and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge,
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment,
- Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue,
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools,
- install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems,
- Liaise with clients by providing cost estimations.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school
- 1-2 years of work experience is required.
