We are looking for a responsible construction labourer who can handle various physically demanding tasks on construction sites using tools and equipment provided by the company while developing your skills and learn new construction techniques in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools including drills, skid loaders and other tools Load and unload construction supply and materials from trucks both manually and with the help of equipment Clean and Prepare construction sites including removing and disposing of debris and waste materials properly to eliminate possible hazards Maintain a safe and clean job sites by handling materials and storing them properly Travel out of town to work at different job sites as directed by the company Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces Build and Position forms for pouring concrete and dismantle forms after use, using various tools Requirements: Ability to travel out of town during the week or on weekends Ability to kneel, bend for extended hours Able to lift heavy equipment No Education or Experience required but any experience in construction industry will be considered an asset. Job Description:

Happy Drywall Ltd is looking for Drywall Installers responsible for installing wallboards to ceilings or to interior walls of buildings and applying plaster. Apply or mount acoustical tiles or blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing materials to ceiling and walls of buildings.

 

Job responsibilities include:

• Apply drywall to walls or ceilings

• Measure, Cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings

• Reads blueprints and other specifications to determine method of installation, work procedures and material and tool requirement

• Removes plaster, drywall or paneling using crowbar and hammer

• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs

• Fill joints, holes and cracks with compound using a trowel and broad knife

• Smooth out imperfections and sand areas after each coast

 

Skills:

• Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects

• Able to determine the kinds of tools and equipment needed to do a job

• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses and buildings

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles 

• Knowledge of machines and power tools used for repair and maintenance

 

Requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of experience required

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• Language: English
