Job Overview:

Reito Industrial Products is looking for a mechanical engineering technician to join our team, primarily responsible for maintaining smooth manufacturing operations. Your duties will involve installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining mechanical equipment. Additionally, you’ll assist in project coordination, offer technical support, and collaborate with team members. Maintaining accurate maintenance records, staying abreast of industry standards, and ensuring safe working conditions are integral to your role.

Hours of Work: 32 hours weekly

Key Job Duties:

  1. Install, commission, inspect, troubleshoot, service, maintain and overhaul all mechanical equipment and components related to all in house manufacturing.
  2. Assist in preparing mechanical design sketches, drawings, and bills of material.
  3. Co-ordinate large projects related to the installation of new systems or the replacement of existing systems. Carry out mechanical tests and inspections to ensure effective quality assurance.
  4. Provide technical support, advice, coordination and assistance with regard to emerging work, projects and daily routines, including the development of technical/operational solutions to problems.
  5. Cooperate with team members and sharing information across the manufacturing facility.
  6. Make appropriate recommendations and briefing on repairs, diagnostics and equipment specifications as well as specifications for new equipment.
  7. Optimize existing manufacturing processes to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability through regular maintenance, new fixture/tool design and/or new technologies.
  8. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts replacements, repairs, and service schedules.
  9. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for machinery maintenance and safety procedures.
  10. Always ensure adherence to standards for safe working conditions.

 

Education: Secondary (High) school graduation certificate  

 

Work Experience: At least one year’s related experience in manufacturing environment.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical/electronic and mechanical systems
  • Competent with automation and external assemblies
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems systematically
  • Knowledge and use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and other relevant software
  • Knowledge and use of general office computer software
  • Visual, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Job Duties
Interpret welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
Determine weldability of materials
Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

Employment Requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required
• Completion of a welding apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years of welding experience, including exposure to robotic or semi-automated welding systems
• Experience in maintenance-related fabrication or industrial repair is strongly preferred
