Truck Dispatchers

Main duties

  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations
  • Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
  • Dispatch personnel as required in emergency situations
  • Keep track of shipments
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
  • Maintain vehicle operator work records
  • Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
  • Receive requests for emergency assistance or service
  • Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses
  • Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment

Education and experience

  • Secondary School-12 Grade
  • 1-2 years of Industry experience
  • Proficient in data entry and able to accurately input information into the system
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers, drivers, and team members

Salary

$28.65 /hr

Benefits

  • Overtime Pay (1.5 times of hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week)
  • Vacation Pay as per Saskatchewan Standards (3 weeks or 5.77% of vacation pay)

Job responsibility: As an automotive mechanic helper, your job duties primarily revolve around supporting experienced mechanics in various tasks related to vehicle maintenance and repair. Your responsibilities may include assisting in diagnosing vehicle issues, performing routine inspections and maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations, and helping to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components. You’ll likely be tasked with cleaning and organizing the workshop, retrieving tools and parts and maintaining equipment. Additionally, you might assist with test-driving vehicles to identify problems and verify repairs.
