Job Responsibility: 

  • Provide Care and Companionship
    • Offer care and emotional support to individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence, or family disruption.
    • Engage clients in activities and provide social interaction to enhance their well-being.
  • Administer Bedside and Personal Care
    • Assist clients with ambulation, ensuring their mobility and safety.
    • Aid in personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and undressing.
    • Support clients with grooming, oral care, and other daily personal care routines.
  • Plan and Prepare Meals
    • Develop meal plans and prepare nutritious meals according to client’s dietary needs and preferences.
    • Feed or assist in feeding clients who require help during mealtimes.
  • Perform Routine Health-Related Duties
    • Change non-sterile dressings and perform basic wound care as instructed by healthcare professionals.
    • Assist in the administration of medications under the guidance of a home care agency supervisor or nurse.
    • Collect specimens for medical tests and ensure their proper handling and delivery.
  • Execute Routine Housekeeping Tasks
    • Perform household chores such as laundry, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean living environment for clients.
    • Ensure the client’s home is safe, organized, and comfortable.
  • Monitor and Report Client Conditions
    • Observe and document any changes in clients’ health, behavior, or environment.
    • Communicate with healthcare professionals and family members regarding clients' needs and progress.
  • Adhere to Safety and Health Regulations
    • Follow all safety protocols and health guidelines to prevent the spread of illness and ensure the well-being of clients.

Position: Early Childhood Educator

Wage: 21.00 to 24.00 CAD per hour

Tasks:
– Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
– Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
– Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
– Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
– Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
– Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
