Tasks/ Job Duties:

  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas

Job Description:
Position: Early Childhood Educator – Assistant
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Wage: $21.00 CAD per hour
Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent

Tasks:
– Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
– Maintain daycare equipment
– Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the
physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
– Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
– Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and
preparing crafts
– Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and
toilet habits
– Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
– Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or
supervisors
– Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
 
Employment Requirements:
Languages – English
Education – Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience – Experience an asset
Credentials:
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
