- Adjust and calibrate products using hand tools or calibration devices as required.
- Document all repair work, including parts used and service details.

- Provide clear updates and recommendations to clients regarding repair status.

Position: Home Support Worker/Companion for Clients with Special Needs – Home Care (NOC/TEER 44101).

Type of job: Full-time (40 hrs/week), permanent. Salary: $23/hr.
Job requirements
Languages: English
Education: Completion of secondary school is required, Completion of college in psychology or previous work experience in social service is an asset. First Aid Certification is required.
Experience: Some experience in caregiving especially clients with special needs would be preferred but will train for the right candidates
Specific Skills and Work Performance
· Provide caring companionship to regular clients and clients with special needs such as Alzheimer and/or dementia
· Provide safe social outings to clients for medical appointments, social events, and general outings.
· Offer emotional support and assistance to clients for suitable daily exercise and activities such as going for a walk or grocery shopping.
· Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients.
· Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
· May perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications, and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse.
· May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
· Knowledge of lifts (ceiling lifts/ overhead lifts)
- Report to and assist managers for issues and daily job duties.
