Retail Sales Associate

Job Duties:

Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise sought for purchase
Advise customers on use and care of merchandise, and provide advice concerning specialized products or services
Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, trade-in allowances, returns and delivery dates
Prepare merchandise for purchase
Prepare sales contracts and accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment
Assist in display of merchandise
Maintain sales records for inventory control
Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems
May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers or for shipment or delivery to customers
Carry customers’ purchases to parking lot and pack in vehicles
Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items
Use barcode scanning equipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintain computerized stock inventory
Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list
Attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting
Stock shelves and display areas and keep stock clean and in order
Fill mail orders from warehouse stock
Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
Direct customers to location of articles sought
Sweep aisles, dust display racks and perform other general cleaning duties
Operate cash register and computer for electronic commerce transactions
May order stock.

Skill Requirements: High school Diploma; 1 to 2 years of related work experience

Job Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)

Salary: $15.20 per hour

Detailed Responsibilities

  • To provide leadership while working as part of the sanitation team to clean all food production within the CBPCC facilities.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of cleaning agents, processes, procedures and frequencies, which would include the cleaning of all processing equipment as well as the facility.
  • Become familiar and able to work in a HACCP based environment.
  • Inspecting the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols.
  • Designing and implementing sanitation policies and protocols.
  • Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules.
  • Creating and distributing work schedules for the sanitation workers.
  • Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities.
  • Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Providing feedback to company managers and advising on manufacturing changes.
  • Monitoring the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Training sanitation workers and organizing refresher workshops for existing staff.
  • Provide GMP and WHIMS to all workers.
